About

International Society for Krishna Consciousness for Western Canada

Outdoor festival with colourful tents and a crowd on the Vancouver waterfront; city towers and SkyTrain visible in the background.

Festival of Joy is presented by the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) for Western Canada — a volunteer-led community that has helped shape Metro Vancouver's multicultural calendar for nearly five decades. Through music, colour, vegetarian food, and open-air gatherings, we aim to celebrate diversity, hospitality, and the arts alongside neighbours from every walk of life.

Our work today builds on that long history. Recent initiatives include Festival of India, Stanley Park Festivals, and the Soul Veg Farmers Market — public, family-friendly programs where culture, wellness, and generosity come together. Festival of Joy continues in the same spirit: a summer weekend designed for everyone, whether you are joining us for the first time or have been part of the journey for years.
